There is nothing worse than standing in front of a group of people waiting for you to start, and not knowing where to begin. It can happen to anyone, but it usually happens to people who are unprepared. Teaching is rarely an innate gift. Teaching effectively is a skill set that must be learned.
Becoming a teacher is a natural progression for most students who reach Black Belt, sometimes even sooner, as friends and family become curious about what you are learning. But it is one thing to do the techniques, and a whole other thing to share the teachings in a way others can understand and duplicate.
