Because You Are Martial Arts Trained

(Perhaps with IBDA or the Bujinkan)

A martial arts Black Belt knows how to train and achieve goals that others have failed at. We feel you should be able to learn our carefully crafted Ninjutsu system and ancient art at a much faster pace than a brand-new beginner. So why not reward your skill level with an Accelerated Path to Black Belt Instructor?

This Accelerated Path training is designed specifically for you, as a step-by-step checklist system. We have been offering these distance learning courses since 1990. We have worked it out. YOU LEARN AND TEST AT YOUR PACE!

Our mission at IBDA is to help you in every way to get your Black Belt in a timely manner, and to certify you as an instructor so you can share the arts with family, friends, a training group, and hopefully a dojo. There is great joy in helping others have a better life. Don't you agree?

Are You a Perfect Fit?

⚔ Have a dojo or training group? This is a perfect fit. Adding Ninjutsu to your curriculum will add revenue for the school and for you. Your students will love it for the weapons training alone. Little Ninja camps, and more!

⚔ Want a dojo? I dreamed for years of having my own school. Is this you? Doing it changed my life. This Accelerated Path program is a perfect fit to help you quickly earn your Black Belt Instructor certification so you can open your own dojo.

⚔ Don't want a dojo at this time? We get that too. I have added many systems to my martial arts knowledge over the years, achieving Black Belts and beyond. The knowledge greatly helped me, and everyone respects "Ninjutsu Instructor" on a resume. (In fact, Ninjutsu was an add-on for me to start with... time changes many things.)

⚔ Already an instructor in another art? This Accelerated Path Program was really made for you! Add another system to your dojo: Ninjutsu, weapons, Way of Life philosophy. Get better as a teacher, stimulate your dojo, excite students and earn more. A large share of our best students already had Black Belts in other arts. Of all the martial systems, the art of the Ninja seems to have the greatest mystique, and there is a reason for that when you learn it through a true system. At 5th Kyu you can become an IBDA training group, and at Shodan, after passing the Shidoshi Teachers Training Course, a Shidoshi-ho and an Affiliate IBDA dojo. Always live your dreams!

We put it all together for you. EVERYTHING YOU NEED. You add the study and training.

Your Path: From Black Belt to Master Teacher

Becoming a teacher of the "Warrior Ways of Enlightenment"

Like everyone else, you begin at 10th Kyu with the 9th Kyu material, and with your experience you can move through the levels at your own accelerated pace. While you train for your Black Belt, you also study how to teach the art. Most students start the Shidoshi training at 5th Kyu, about halfway to Shodan; some start right away. So when you earn your Shodan, you are already trained to open your own IBDA Ninjutsu dojo, and those who complete the course are granted Shidoshi-ho (a direct student under Doshi Van Donk), issued by the International Bujinkan Dojo Association.

Achievement Level 1: Shodan, 1st Degree Black Belt
Achievement Level 2: Shidoshi-ho, licensed junior teacher
Achievement Level 3: Advance through the 2nd to 5th Dan material to prepare for the 5th Dan test with Doshi
Achievement Level 4: Shidoshi, fully licensed teacher
Achievement Level 5: Shihan

The greatest level of all is what you feel inside: the changes you have made in your life, and how that has affected others because of your hard-earned efforts. These studies have proven to change lives.

Would you sell your Black Belt experience for $50,000?

We have asked many people who earned Black Belt with us: "Would you sell your Black Belt knowledge, the changes it has made in your life, the impact it has made on others and the friends you have made for $50,000?" NO WAY. In one class of 20 Black Belts, all said NO to $1,000,000. Now that says something!

You can be a Black Belt in techniques and a white belt at sharing it.

It is one thing to be able to do techniques, and another to share the teachings so others can understand and do them well. The Teachers Training Course teaches you to set up training, create schedules and themes, select material for your classes, instruct a class, handle dojo situations and interact with your students. And you can be a Black Belt in techniques and at sharing it, but a white belt at running a dojo, and your school will fail. That is why the IBDA "Dojo Wealth Building Course" will teach you, A to Z, how to run a profitable dojo, so you can get paid doing what you love.

Just joining the Bujinkan Ninjutsu teachings?

We encourage everyone to share what they have learned with others, AND to learn the arts well enough to teach them. We know some people only want to learn for themselves, and we respect that. I started out learning for myself only. I had already done the teaching and wanted to be a student. That led me to take really deep notes, like a scholar. I was so fascinated with all aspects of Ninjutsu that I attended training groups and got together with friends almost every day to do something related to the art. That grew into my own training group. I became a teacher to others without really even thinking about it. One thing led to the next, and I was in Japan.

Wow! What a life-changing experience. I learned more and more, and took more and more notes. I filmed myself after classes, in my room or at a park, so I could remember what Soke Hatsumi and the other Shihan taught me and learn it well back in the USA. You can guess the rest of the story: my notes became training manuals, and the videos I made for others were offered to the world. Through these efforts I have taught, inspired and helped well over a dozen students to 10th Dan and several hundred beyond 5th Degree Black Belt. Something I did not even imagine for myself at first.

What does this have to do with you? I have found that if I train students well enough, they can more easily share it with others. Start with the Ninjutsu Shodan course, then the Shidoshi instructor course, which you study WHILE you study the Shodan teachings. That way you qualify to become a Shidoshi-ho at Shodan instead of at Nidan, AND you can become an official IBDA Branch Dojo.
